Suspect Sought in Theft Offenses in the First District

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in reference to Theft offenses that occurred on Friday, January 17, 2020 in the First District.

At approximately 1:00 am, the suspect took the victim’s dog and vehicle keys from a residence in the 1200 block of 4th Street, Southeast. The suspect then entered a parking garage in the 400 block of M Street, Southeast and entered the victim’s vehicle. The suspect fled the scene with the victim’s vehicle and dog.

The victim’s vehicle is described as a silver in color, 2004 Honda Accord. The vehicle was last seen displaying a Virginia tag of UYR2475. The victim’s dog is a 4-year-old English Bulldog. The dog is brown and white in color and will answer to the name Harvey or Pig. The suspect, the victim’s vehicle and the victim’s dog can be seen in the photos below:
