Suspect Sought in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) Offense: 1800 Block of Benning Road, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District seek the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Thursday, February 13, 2020, in the 1800 block of Benning Road, Northeast.

At approximately 1:09 am, the suspect and victim were involved in an altercation at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and fired shots at the victim. The suspect then fled the scene. No injuries were reported.

The suspect was captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in the video below:
