Mayor Bowser will lead a diplomatic mission to Ethiopia to strengthen the country’s ties with the DC region, which has one of the largest Ethiopian populations outside of Ethiopia. During the mission, the Mayor will renew the District’s sister city agreement with Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; promote DC as a destination for Ethiopian business and leisure visitors; and form new educational partnerships between Ethiopian and DC-based universities. Mayor Bowser will resume her public schedule on Thursday, November 14.
