Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.
Second District:

On Friday, August 2, 2019, 28-year-old Harlan Hopkins, Jr., of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Friday, August 2, 2019, in the 1100 block of 19th Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-135-529.

At approximately 12:15 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect snatched the victim’s property and the victim complied. The suspect then fled the scene.

Third District:

On Thursday, August 1, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 25-year-old Khari Davis, of Glenn Dale, MD, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Thursday, August 23, 2018, in the 1600 block of 17th Street, Northwest. CCN: 18-140-494.

At approximately 2:59 am, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene.

On Tuesday, August 2, 2019, a 14-year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, in the 3100 block of 16th Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-119-790.

At approximately 8:34 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspect then fled the scene.

Fourth District:

On Monday, August 5, 2019, 27-year-old Adamu Tadesse, of Arlington, VA, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Knife) offense that occurred on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, in the 5300 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 19-125-058.

At approximately 9:00 am, the victim and suspects were traveling in a vehicle at the listed location. One suspect brandished a knife and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied, exited the vehicle and fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.

On Wednesday, August 7, 2019, 40-year-old Vincent Grant, of Southwest, DC, was arrested for a Robbery of an Establishment offense that occurred on Monday, July 15, 2019, in the 7400 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 19-123-620.

At approximately 4:00 am, the suspect entered an establishment at the listed location. The suspect brandished what appeared to be a weapon and took property. The suspect then fled the scene.

Fifth District

On Monday, August 5, 2019, a 17-year-old Juvenile Male, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Monday, August 5, 2019, in the 1200 block of Penn Street, Northeast. CCN: 19-137-595.

At approximately 10:44 am, the suspect approached two victims at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded property from the victims. The suspect took the victims’ property and fled the scene.
