Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

First District:

On Monday, November 25, 2019, a 16 year-old juvenile female, of Hyattsville, MD, and a 16 year-old juvenile female, of New Carrollton, MD, were arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Sunday, November 24, 2019, in the 500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 19-210-726.

At approximately 11:41 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene.

On Wednesday, November 27, 2019, two 15 year-old juvenile males, both of Southeast, DC, were arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, in the 300 block of 12th Street, Southeast.  CCN: 19-212-372

At approximately 2:50 pm, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location.  The suspects demanded the victim’s property.  The victim refused and the suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property.  The suspects were apprehended by responding officers.

Second District:

On Monday, November 25, 2019, 35 year-old Justin DeBondt, of no fixed address, was arrested for an Assault with Intent to Rob offense that occurred on Monday, November 25, 2019, in the 1700 block of L Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-211-262.

At approximately 8:11 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect demanded the victim’s property. The suspect brandished a metal cane and attempted to strike the victim. The suspect then fled the scene without obtaining property.

On Wednesday, November 27, 2019, 25 year-old Topacio Reyes, of Northwest, DC, 29 year-old Michael Kunza, of Gaithersburg, MD, and 28 year-old Marc Stewart, of Germantown, MD, were arrested for an Armed Robbery (Knife) offense that occurred on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, in the 1300 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 19-212-098.

At approximately 3:31 am, the victim and one of the suspects were engaged in a verbal altercation at the listed location. One of the suspects then brandished a knife and demanded the victim’s property. The suspects then assaulted the victim and fled the scene.

Third District:

On Wednesday, November 27, 2019, a 13 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, in the 3100 block of 11th Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-212-054.

At approximately 12:06 am, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects forcibly took the victim’s property then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.

On Monday, November 25, 2019, a 14 year-old juvenile male, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for multiple Robbery offenses in the Third District. These cases remain under investigation.

On Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at approximately 4:12 pm, the suspects approached the victim in the 1400 block of Chapin Street, Northwest. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene. CCN: 19-189-777
On Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at approximately 4:20 pm, the suspects approached the victim in the 1400 block of Irving Street, Northwest. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene. CCN: 19-189-759
On Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at approximately 4:23 pm, the suspects approached the victim in the 3200 block of Hiatt Place, Northwest. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene. CCN: 19-189-767
On Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at approximately 4:30 pm, the suspects approached the victim in the 3200 block of Hiatt Place, Northwest. The suspects assaulted the victim and attempted to take the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene. No property was obtained. CCN: 19-191-152

Fourth District:

On Friday, November 22, 2019, a 15 year-old juvenile male and a 16 year-old juvenile male, both of Northwest, DC, were arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, November 22, 2019, in the 900 block of Spring Road, Northwest. CCN: 19-208-907.

At approximately 6:07 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle.

Fifth District:

On Friday, November 22, 2019, a 14 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, and 17 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, were arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Thursday, November 21, 2019, in the 3000 block of 7th Street, Northeast. CCN: 19-208-795.

At approximately 9:50 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene.

Seventh District:

On Wednesday, November 27, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court custody order, a 16 year-old juvenile male, of Temple Hills, MD, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, September 29, 2019, in the 100 block of Forrester Street, Southwest. CCN: 19-174-037.

At approximately 10:26 pm, the suspects approached two victims at the listed location. The suspects brandished handguns and assaulted the victims. The suspects then took the victims’ property and fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.
