Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

First District:

On Tuesday, October 22, 2019, a 16 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, in the 1200 block of F Street, Northeast. CCN: 19-189-314.

At approximately 9:15 pm, the suspects approached the victims at the listed location. One of the suspects assaulted the victim and snatched the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.

On Wednesday, October 23, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court custody order, a 12 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Assault with the Intent to Commit Robbery offense that occurred on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, in the 1300 block of F Street, Northeast. CCN: 19-189-318.

At approximately 9:05 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects tried to take the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.

On Wednesday, October 23, 2019, 23 year-old Dvonte Kay, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Knife) offense that occurred on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, in the 400 block of 2nd Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-189-672.

At approximately 2:11 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a knife and took the victim’s property. The suspect then fled the scene.

On Thursday, October 24, 2019, a 14 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Assault with the Intent to Commit Robbery offense that occurred on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, in the 400 block of 12th Street, Southeast. CCN: 19-189-870.

At approximately 4:50 pm, the suspects approached the victim from behind at the listed location. The suspects demanded the victim’s property and assaulted the victim. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.

Second District:

On Friday, October 18, 2019, 22 year-old Juan Blanco, of no fixed address, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, in the 3300 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 19-184-508.

At approximately 2:19 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim then took the victim’s property and fled the scene.

On Tuesday, October 22, 2019, 35 year-old Dwanna Cobbs, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, in the 1200 block of New York Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 19-188-978.

At approximately 12:45 pm, the suspect approached the victim from behind at the listed location. The suspect snatched the victim’s property and tried to flee the scene.

Third District:

On Saturday, October 19, 2019, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Friday, October 18, 2019, in the 3100 block of 16th Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-186-628.

At approximately 4:50 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.

On Saturday, October 19, 2019, a 16 year-old juvenile male, of Temple Hills, MD, a 16 year-old juvenile male, of Northwest, DC, 18 year-old Savion Tate, 18 year-old Channcy Jones, and a 16 year-old juvenile male, all of Southeast, DC, were arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Saturday, October 19, 2019, in the 300 block of U Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-186-855.

At approximately 12:01 am, the suspects approached the victim from behind at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene.

On Wednesday, October 23, 2019, two 14 year-old juvenile females, of Southeast, DC, were arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, in the 3100 block of 14th Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-189-774.

At approximately 3:57 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene.

On Wednesday, October 23, 2019, a 13 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Assault with Intent to Commit Robbery offense that occurred on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, in the 1400 block of Chapin Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-189-777; as well as an Assault with the Intent to Commit Robbery offense that occurred on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, in the 3100 block of 14th Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-189-759

CCN 19-189-777: At approximately 4:12 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and demanded the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.

Fourth District:

On Saturday, October 19, 2019, two 15 year-old juvenile males, of Northeast, DC, were arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, in the 3400 block of 14th Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-184-691.

At approximately 5:07 pm, the suspects approached the victim from behind at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.

On Wednesday, October 23, 2019, a 16 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Monday, September 23, 2019, in the 5200 block of Chillum Place, Northeast. CCN: 19-169-936.

At approximately 4:37 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects took the victim’s property and brandished a firearm. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.

Sixth District:

On Friday, October 25, 2019, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with three counts of Armed Robbery (Gun), one count of Attempt to Commit a Robbery, and one count of Robbery (Snatch) offenses.

Armed Robbery (Gun): On Monday, October 14, 2019, at approximately 6:00 pm, in the 300 block of Division Place, Northeast, three suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The suspects assaulted the victim, took property and fled the scene. CCN: 19-184-612

Attempt to Commit a Robbery: On Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at approximately 2:25 pm, in the 200 block of 57th Place, Northeast, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects attempted to take property but were unsuccessful. The suspects then fled the scene. CCN: 19-184-519

Armed Robbery (Gun): On Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at approximately 11:30 am, in the 600 block of Division Avenue, Northeast, two suspects approached two victims at the listed location. The suspects brandished handguns and demanded the victims’ property. The suspects then fled the scene. CCN: 19-185-085

Armed Robbery (Gun): On Thursday, October 17, 2019, at approximately 10:25 am, in the 5100 block of Brooks Street, Northeast, four suspects approached three victims at the listed location. The suspects brandished handguns and demanded the victims’ property. The suspects took property and fled the scene. CCN: 19-185-640

Robbery (Snatch): On Thursday, October 17, 2019, at approximately 3:52 pm, in the 5000 block of Just Street, Northeast, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect took currency from the victim and fled the scene. CCN: 19-185-968
