Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

First District:

On Wednesday, September 11, 2019, 34-year-old Randolph Dewayne Ward, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for two robbery offenses that occurred on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, in the 1400 block of H Street, Northeast.

Robbery of an Establishment (Gun): On Thursday, September 5, 2019, at approximately 10:23 pm, two suspects entered an establishment in the 1200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded currency from the store employee. The employee complied. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation. CCN: 19-158-211.

Attempted Robbery of an Establishment: On Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at approximately 6:35 pm, in the 1400 block of H Street, Northeast, the suspect entered an establishment at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded property from the victims. The suspect was apprehended on scene. CCN: 19-161-932.

Second District:

On Friday, September 6, 2019, 25 year-old James Allen, of no fixed address, and 28 year-old Cortez Green, of Southeast, DC, were arrested for a Robbery (Pickpocket) offense that occurred on Friday, September 6, 2019, in Scott Circle, Northwest. CCN: 19-158-838.

At approximately 9:50 pm, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. As the victim slept, the suspects took the victim’s property. The suspects were apprehended by responding officers.

Third District:

On Saturday, September 7, 2019, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Fort Washington, MD, and a 17 year-old juvenile male, of Northwest, DC, were arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Saturday, September 7, 2019, in the 2100 block of 10th Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-159-007.

At approximately 3:03 am, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene.

On Saturday, September 7, 2019, 22 year-old Marcus Rockingham and a 17 year-old juvenile male, both of Northwest, DC, were arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Saturday, September 7, 2019, in the 1100 block of 7th Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-159-364.

At approximately 6:19 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded US currency. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene.

Fourth District:

On Friday, September 6, 2019, 19 year-old Brenda Hernandez and 18 year-old Luis Carranza-Andrade, both of Northwest, DC, were arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Monday, September 2, 2019, the 4700 block of South Dakota Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 19-156-070.

At approximately 9:00 pm, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene. The suspects were apprehended by responding officers.

On Tuesday, September 10, 2019, a 14 year-old juvenile male, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Knife) offense that occurred on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, in the 900 block of Missouri Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 19-160-877.

At approximately 7:34 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a knife and took the victim’s property. The suspect then fled the scene.

Fifth District:

On Sunday, September 8, 2019, 35 year-old Michael Ferguson, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Sunday, September 8, 2019, in the 2700 block of New York Avenue, Northeast. CCN: 19-159-675.

At approximately 4:19 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspect then fled the scene.

On Friday, September 13, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court custody order, a 16 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Thursday, September 5, 2019, in the 1700 block of 14th Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-157-823.

At approximately 1:18 pm, the suspect snatched the victim’s property then fled the scene.

Sixth District:

On Thursday, September 12, 2019, a 16 year-old juvenile female and a 14 year-old juvenile female, both of Southeast, DC, were arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Thursday, September 12, 2019, in the 4000 block of Minnesota Avenue, Northeast. CCN: 19-162-411.

At approximately 12:16 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene.

On Thursday, September 12, 2019, a 16 year-old juvenile male, of Woodbridge, VA, and a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, were arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Thursday, September 12, 2019, in the 100 block of 49th Place, Northeast. CCN: 19-162-676.

At approximately 6:54 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property, including the victim’s vehicle. The suspects then fled the scene.

On Friday, September 13, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 36 year-old Eddie Austin, of Upper Marlboro, MD, was arrested for an Armed Carjacking offense that occurred on Monday, March 4, 2019, in the 800 block of Howard Road, Southeast. CCN: 19-037-307.

At approximately 7:34 pm, the suspect and victim were engaged in a verbal altercation at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim and took the victim’s vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene.

Seventh District:

On Saturday, September 7, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, a 17 juvenile male, of Temple Hills, MD, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, in the 2300 block of Ainger Place, Southeast. CCN: 19-124-825.

At approximately 4:59 pm, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and took the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.

On Friday, September 13, 2019, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Monday, July 8, 2019, in the 1300 block of Morris Road, Southeast. CCN: 19-119-107.

At approximately 4:45 am, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.
