Arrests Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) Offense: 900 Block of U Street, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District have announced two arrests have been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Sunday, November 10, 2019, in the 900 block of U Street, Northwest.

At approximately 2:00 am, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a knife and threatened to stab the victim. The victim was then able to flee the scene. One of the suspects picked up the victim’s dropped property, then the suspects fled the scene.

On Sunday, November 11, 2019, a 17 year-old juvenile male, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife). Additionally, 22 year-old Michael Potts, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Theft One.
