Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon Offense: 2400 Block of Martin Luther King Jr., Avenue, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon offense that occurred on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, in the 2400 block of Martin Luther King Jr., Avenue, Southeast.

At approximately 1:24 pm, a group of suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim with objects then fled the scene.

On Wednesday, February 5, 2020, 27-year-old Deshawn Adgerson, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.

This case remains under investigation.
