Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon Offense: 2100 Block of K Street, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Second District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon offense that occurred on Monday, August 19, 2019, in the 2100 block of K Street, Northwest.
At approximately 5:44 pm, the suspect and victim were engaged in a verbal dispute, inside of an establishment, at the listed location. The suspect then assaulted the victim with a chair and fled the scene. No injuries were reported.
On Wednesday, August, 21, 2019, 48 year-old Towanna Henson, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
