Arrest Made in a Robbery (Knife) and Burglary Two of an Establishment Offenses in the First District

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announce that an arrest has been made in reference to Robbery (Knife) and Burglary Two of an Establishment offenses that occurred in the First District.

Burglary Two of an Establishment: On Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at approximately 5:55 pm, the suspect forcibly entered an establishment in the 400 block of 8th Street, Northeast. Once inside, the suspect took property then fled the scene.

Robbery (Knife) of an Establishment: On Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at approximately 4:05 pm, the suspect approached the victim inside of an establishment in the 100 block of L Street, Southeast. The suspect brandished a knife and demanded US currency from the victim. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene.

On Wednesday, January 8, 2020, 29 year-old Antwann Johnson, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Burglary Two of an Establishment and Armed Robbery (Knife).
