Arrest Made in a Burglary Two and Theft Two Offense: 1300 Block of Potomac Avenue, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to a Burglary Two offense and Theft Two offense that occurred in the 1300 block of Potomac Avenue, Southeast.

On August 2, 2019, at approximately 2:33 am, the suspect unlawfully entered an establishment at the listed location. While inside, the suspect took merchandise and fled the scene.

Further investigation revealed the same suspect was involved in a theft offense on August 5, 2019, at the listed location.

On Tuesday, August 6, 2019, 34 year-old Dante Christopher Smith of Southwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Burglary Two and Theft Two.
