Letter from the Mayor
Dear Washingtonians,
The New Year is just around the corner, which means it is time to register for the #FITDC Fresh Start 5K! For the sixth year in a row, we will come together on January 1 to celebrate the New Year with family, friends, and neighbors.
If you have joined us in the past, you know that the Fresh Start 5K is a fun experience for all. Some people come to get a healthy start to the New Year, some to set a personal record, and some just to cheer on their friends and family. No matter your reason for joining us, we know you’ll have fun.
This year’s 5K will take place in Anacostia Park. Registration is free, and each participant will receive a T-shirt, running bib, and other giveaways.
Register today and then reach out to family and friends to do the same. See you in 2020!
Sincerely,
Muriel Bowser
