Outfit Ideas for Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays. In elementary school, I used to love making and receiving those adorable little valentines cards with candy. In middle school and high school, Valentine’s Day became a popularity contest. Students secretly envying anyone that got a candy gram delivered during class. Also, going on dates to celebrate the holiday became the highlight of the month.

In college, I discovered Galentine’s Day. While it’s technically celebrated on February 13th, it’s a day where women celebrate women and womanhood. Typically, women that are in either romantic or platonic relationships spend time with their girls, complete with junk food and wine, in lieu of male company. As an adult, I’ve discovered there are so many people in unofficial “situationships”, I’ve starting calling those Palentines. No matter what I was celebrating, the outfit was always the most important part.

I love the heart sweaters, the PJ’s and robes, the bra and panty sets. Since this is quite possibly the first year where plus size women actually have options, I’m creating a lookbook.
