Mayor Bowser Kicks Off “Back to Basics DC”

Mayor Bowser kicked off Back to Basics DC, a celebration of the day-to-day work that keeps Washington, DC running. During Back to Basics DC, the Mayor will highlight the work of DC government employees, showcase innovations in service delivery, and share information about how the community can help the government keep Washington, DC a great place to call home.

“Back to Basics DC is about celebrating the progress we have made as a city and sharing information about how the government and the community can work hand-in-hand to keep DC moving forward,” said Mayor Bowser. “Every day, thousands of government employees and community members work behind the scenes to keep Washington, DC running and I look forward to highlighting their work over the next few weeks.”

Over the next several weeks, the Bowser Administration will focus on issues like graffiti removal, parking and traffic enforcement, and littering. Residents can follow Back to Basics DC on social media using #backtobasicsDC.
