Justice for ASIFA Now

The weather in the District was very decent on today, despite the recent down pours mixed with cold weather temperatures.  In fact, it was a great day for the Alliance for Justice and Accountability to gathered in front of the Mahatma Ghandi statue on Q Street, along with many others to send a message demanding, “Justice for ASIFA.”

“Stop killings Kashmir” and “Shame India Shame” was what the signs read, as the people chanted “we want justice.”  ASIFA, an 8-year-old Kashmir girl who was kidnapped and gang rape in a temple for days, and then her body was dumped in a forest according to one of the protesters signs.
